1 / How to clean wax?

How you are going to remove the wax depends largely on what it has been poured on. Here are our tips. On fabric: Take an ice cube, and rub it on the wax stain, until it hardens. Then use a butter knife to scrape off the wax. When you have removed as much as possible, put the garment in the machine. On the floor: To wash your floor, take again an ice cube wrapped in plastic, and harden the wax. Scrape it off with a spatula, and use detergent to remove residue. On a small object: If wax has fallen on a small object, you can directly put it in the freezer for an hour. Scrape off the wax with a butter knife, then scrub it with a damp toothbrush and soap, and rinse; That's it !

2 / How to make a scented candle?

It is very easy to make your own candles. Here is how to do it in a few steps. Step 1: Start by choosing your wax. Paraffin is the easiest to use. Step 2: Cut the wax into small pieces, and melt it in a double boiler. Paraffin is liquid at around 55 degrees. Step 3: Add a few drops of essential oils and oil-based food coloring, and mix well. Step 4: Take an empty glass jar, and lay out a wick. The wick should touch the bottom of the pot. To keep it in place, you can wrap its end around a pen or craft stick, and place it on the jar. Step 5: Pour the wax into the pot; do not do it too fast, the wax may splash on you. Leave to cool for 24 hours. Step 6: Once the wax has cooled, cut the wick about half a centimeter from the top of the candle. All you have to do is turn it on!

3 / How to hold a candle in a candle holder?

The size of your candle is not adapted to that of your candle holder? Do not panic ! We have the solution. Your candle is too small: Melt a little wax in a double boiler. Pour some into the bottom of the candle holder, and then insert the candle. Hold there for a while while the wax hardens. Your candle is too wide: If your candle is too wide compared to the candle holder, it will be impossible to fit it in without breaking it. The simplest solution is to soak the end of your candle in boiling water, wait a few seconds for the base to soften, then immediately insert it into the candle holder, pressing hard enough to make it fit in. ; be careful not to damage it!

4 / Where to install candles?

Candles create a subdued and warm atmosphere in a room. Some places are more willing to welcome them than others. Here are some ideas. In your living room: Want a cocooning atmosphere to watch a movie in your living room? Put some candles on a side table, on the TV cabinet, and if you have, on the edge of your fireplace! In your room: Arranging a few candles in your room creates a relaxing atmosphere. Ideal after a busy day at work! To do this, place candles on shelves, or on your bedside table; be careful, never leave a candle unattended. In the dining room: For a festive meal, make a table runner with candles. Be careful not to use overly fragrant candles for a meal. Otherwise, put them on a nearby buffet. In the bathroom: To create a spa atmosphere in your bathroom, put candles on the edge of your bathtub, preferably scented, or on a piece of furniture near it.

5 / How to choose your scented candle?

Candles are no longer used as lighting; when you buy it, it is to create a warm atmosphere in your interior. The choice present on the market being very vast, here are our advices to choose the best candle for you. Wax: Candles are usually made from paraffin or natural wax. The advantage of paraffin is that its price is much lower, at the expense of quality. That is why we advise you to choose candles made from natural wax. The wax can be vegetable, mineral or animal. Wick: The best type of wick for your candle is cotton, 100% natural. Nontoxic, ignition is durable and efficient. We do not recommend synthetic wicks. Another alternative, more and more trendy, is the wooden wick; its crackle is reminiscent of winter evenings! The fragrance: The choice of fragrance is up to you; there are no special rules!
